i think. i think. a man's most prized possessions are his ego and pride. and of course, his girl. (if he has one. hahaha) or maybe this applies only to me. hmm.anyway, continuing from where i left off. sunday was church in the morning. and slack in the afternoon. went over to terence's house with best buddies jeremy and ying lun for dinner and stuff. hahahaha. watched newcastle-liverpool match and played Hearts. homed.
hmm. yesterday was pretty fun. woke up and headed down to bukit merah to meet Val. lunched and then Ikea. walked around randomly. hahahha. she went to vivo while i headed down to town to meet colin, michelle and dorothy! hahhaha had a massive catch-up session and the Gloria Jean's outside cine is the best place to spy on people. hmm!
new year's eve tmr! its gonna be exciting. hehehe pinic at botanic gardens with jeremy and ya. hahahaha

an eventful week i guess. stayed at home on monday to study hahaha. tuesday was out with her to study and then twilight! haha. the movie was okay but the company was better (:headed to ps for dinner at hot tomato express which was okay. and and there were so many people in town. ugh. and i think i have slight claustrophobia haha. cause i felt pissed and tired. hahhaha ah well. anyway homed and all. met michell gwee on the bus home hahaha. what a coincidence.
wednesday was a boring day.
hmm. thursday was Christmas day! merry christmas to everyone! church in the morning and then tuition (ugh) in the afternoon. after headed down to meet her. passed her present. hehe. hmm. went down to esplanade and met grace&keane. hmm. dinner and then homed.
friday was down to town with her to change the cob album blooddrunk cause i had that already hahaha. anyway, couldnt get it changed at the gramaphone at cathay so headed to taka and we managed to cause the lady at the counter was nice and all haha yay. anyway, got cob's Tokyo Warhearts live in japan 1999. yay got all their album haha.
headed to library after that and borrowed a book. homed. and dinner with some church friends that mum&dad called over.
today. went down town for tuition. met mum after that. lunched. and then down to church. and then came home. hmm!

anyway, i'm back from Phuket and church youth camp! yay both were excellent.alright, 4 days and 3 nights at phuket was funfunfun! though my sisters and mum found it a bit boring. hahaha. i loveeeeee the beach (not cause there're bikini chics!). well the beaches are great. the sand is white and smooth. the water so clear you can see your own feet and the sand in it.
the hotel was pretty good. i like the ambience. haha the thing is, there're many caucasians so i felt kinda inferior? hahhaha.
the first day was nothing much. just walking around and eating. hahaha.
the second day was fun. we took a speedboat tour around the islands which was great. swam and stuff. visited some caves. pretty cool.
the third day was touring the city and small towns. did some shopping too and bought a small bag. haha
the fourth day was free and easy again. took the taxi to patong beach and went to this mega shopping mall there. lunched and walked around then headed back to Kata beach where our hotel was. left phuket and flew back here. home sweet home (:

the camp was great. i love the place. its at Singapore Vision Farm which is at a secluded part of lim chu kang. hahaha. well, the camp was fun. the sermons meaningful and i was glad that everyone had a wonderful time together (:

oh. did i tell you? i've got an ipod. yay. thanks to mum and dad (:the holidays so far have been quite fun. about a month left till school reopens. sigh. time passes by so quickly. its time to start studying. like seriously. i should revise everything i've learned this year. and make sure i understand the concepts well. i want to do well next year. like, i'm aiming for at least Cs in all subjects for CTs and at least Bs for mid years. haha seem quite impossible but never mind, i'll try.
anyway. i'm going off to Phuket this friday. and coming back on monday. yay i cant wait. i think its gonna be really fun. i love beaches. and ocean. haha. and i think my mum said the hotel is right beside the sea. yeah but i'm having mixed feelings too. sigh. 5 days of not seeing or talking to you. rawr.
hmm. life's been great. but i'm becoming more and more lazy. humph.
alright. time to stop slacking now. off to study!

alright! i'm back from Batam and Mawai. what a week! both trips were excellent and fulfilling.Batam trip was funfunfun! the hotel was excellent and it was great bonding with the class. the fun part aside, the trip was satisfying. not only did we help the orphanage and the school, we also learned many other lessons. like, the kids there are really poor and the living conditions aren't so great and comfortable. but they're still really happy and contended with what they have. and and, they were especially happy when we arrived!
we didnt do much on the first apart from checking into the hotel and good food for dinner, we visited the orphanage in the afternoon. hmm. bunked in with Naren, YuHeng, Raymond and Edmund (from ODAC) ! and, Raymond watch alarm rang when i was about to sleep and 15minutes later, Naren's phone alarm rang! ugghhh!
the 2nd was more productive i guess. breakfast in the hotel and then down to the orphanage to work!
yupp. we got ourselves organised. some did painting while others did plastering of the walls. yeah. i was in the fixing windows group but the windows didnt arrive so i went to do plastering instead. whoa, tough work i tell you. cause its quite hard to get the cement even and all. worked on the windows in the afternoon. hmm... after work and stuff, played with the children. soccer!! barefooted. haha. i tell you, those kids are really damn gooooood seriously. they can run up and down barefooted non stop while my feet hurt like crazy.
next, we headed to a shopping mall for dinner! and did some shopping too. bought a couple of shirts. damn cheap. hahahaha.
back to the hotel. wash up and all. and night time was playplayplay. hahahahaha
3rd day was more or less the same. painting and a bit of plastering. haha. but i was kinda slack dont know why. and the orphanage organised a closing ceremony for us. it was nice and heartwarming. mmhmm. we were sad that we had to leave so soon. sigh. dinner at the hotel. and night time was playplayplay again . hahahahaha. its like a party i tell you. and and, the night was the best i've ever had. cause it was spent with you. i love you
4th day! packed up and checked out. shopping at the mega mall! pizza hut for lunch was damn cheap tooooo. hahahaha. ferry back to singapore and bussed home. yup!
all in all, the trip was a good one. we worked hard (in the day) and played hard (in the night)!
next up, Mawai!

anyway. Mawai Eco Camp is a damn nice place. its really natural. surrounded by trees and river. we slept in open area. like, on top of a pond. its really cool. its pretty warm at night but gets really cold in the early morning. and there are frogs. like, a lot of frogs. and they croak damn loud at night. and, there're no electricity there so its super duper dark at night. quite scary.
hmm. first day was spent at the swamp. swamp trekking was fun! saw quite a lot of stuff and learned a lot about plants and all. at night was star-gazing! omg the sky was fabulous. it was totally filled with stars. a lot a lot of stars. and we were very very lucky cause we saw, a cresent moon, venus and jupiter side by side forming a smiley face and this occurence is really rare (according to tan hoe teck). so yup, it was really beautiful.
second day was audeline trail. it was a short trek around the area. learned more about history this time. cause, that area was the last line of defence for singapore against the japs. and there are many army bunkers around. after the trail was lunch. and slacked for an hour? haha. afternoon was water stuff. raft building which i did before in sec2 at ACE camp. and we did the water obstacle which was really fun. firefly cruise at night was fascinating.
day three was climbing up the hill. its called Gunong something. haha. it was raining heavily in the morning but we still at to climb. i was feeling damn cold . so cold that i kept shivering. haha. the view up there was fantastic. it overlooks the South china Sea. going downslope was tough cause its pretty muddy and slippery. went down and then back to the camp. washed up. dinner. and then camp fire minus the fire. it was just the 4 groups gathered in the cook house and each group suppose to present a short item about Mawai. yup it was quite fun and hilarious hahaha. last night sleeping with the frogs!
fourth day. bid farewell to Mawai! bussed to some shopping mall in Johor. lunched there. hmm. bought Dunkin' Donuts toooooo. came back to singapore. met Val and Grace in school. and then down to Far East for Slice (with Keane too)! homed after that. ahh, finally. home sweet home.
well. that sums up the 2 trips but the experience i gained and the lessons learned from it are priceless and i cant pen them down here.
